The COVID-19 pandemic made remote work the norm, and now people are working from home, in coffee shops, and even from their hammocks on the beach. The future of work is a mix of remote and in-person work, and everyone is trying to figure out how to make it work. One of the biggest challenges of remote work is communication. It's easy to get lost in a sea of emails and instant messages, and sometimes you're not sure if your boss is actually laughing at your jokes on Slack or just using the "laughing" emoji as a polite way to end the conversation.
